Okay folks, now that it's the 14th, we're going to start having double spotlights - both for the Contributers contest and the 12 days of christmas contest!

Nilaa #5880
It is true that Aywas has tons of hard working staff such as mods, admins, artists, and event coordinators, and while the site would not be what it is without them, there are also there are some unsung heros among the Aywas users that contribute a great deal to the site as well. One of these unsung heros is Nilaa #5880. While Nilaa is not a site staff member, nor colorist what she is is the stuff that makes this site so amazing and sets it apart from all the rest. She spends the majority of her time on Aywas looking for ways to make all of those who cross per path smile. Be it by running give aways, raffles for her species, or just sending out random pick me up messages to people's profiles.
Whenever I'm feeling down, or sad, or just a touch not myself I log into Aywas and inevitably she's posted a little pick me up for me. She really goes out of her way to make people feel loved and appreciated. I am definately not alone in this feeling, she is this way to all she meets. Yes, it is true that she is not the only unsung hero like this on Aywas, but I believe they deserve to be represented as significant and valued contributors to Aywas as well, for they contribute to the Spirit and Joy of Aywas!

A Wish By Garai (#4712)
The Kindle Fire would be my ultimate thing. It's something I'd never spend the money on myself for regardless of how much I love to read and drool over it. Ridiculous to even ask for I know but I still thank you for the opportunity at all. I would also be happy with an Amazon Gift Card because I could build up the money slowly and wait awhile til prices go down.
We'll get a Kindle Fire under his tree, and a $50 Amazon Gift Card to stock it with all the coolest books!

I think it's a really poor sport to try making Garai feel bad about this, you know. It's not very much in Christmas spirit. That "grats anyway" is insincere if anything.

Wow Nami. A lot of people asked for things for themselves, not just Garai; I know him, and I know how much he gives of himself and things he has for a lot of other people. He doesn't think of himself, and he barely agreed to even post a wish up there. He deserves it. And you have no idea how much he has beaten up on himself for getting the wish when he's seen what others have posted. Just.. really. I have no words for you, and I'm quite disgusted. -Yogi

You don't have to know someone to tell when they're really straining to post something they want. There are plenty of people who flippantly say they want pendants or computers or vacations to some exotic island, but when you have someone who wants something pretty badly but clearly feels bad asking for it, that's the sort of person who deserves said gift.
