Public broadcast start!
Due to it coming up, it is important to let all of you know that you may not commission artwork for SCCs or customs outside of Aywas.com, nor may you sell someone else's artwork who is not an Aywas.com member as an SCC, custom, or SCC base.
The only exception is if the original artist contacts us at [email protected] and informs us that they agree to our Terms of Service and transfer full rights to the image(s) to us, as per our TOS.

Does that also count in the case of asking from someone outside Aywas to color you a custom pet?

So the problem occurs whenever an artist who has not agreed to the Aywas TOS creates an image that will be subject to the Aywas TOS?

Riyo here is why : "Any and all Aywas-related information received becomes the automatic property of Explorer Games and Aywas, including any art, written works, suggestions, coding and other information related based on or related to Aywas ("derivative work")."

Yes, the issue is legal ownership of the material, which is required to keep Aywas' legal rear out of the fire. Since all players agree to abide by the ToS on joining, and outside commissions are not, that's where the conflict is.

Oh okay, but you can commission stuff of already existing customs/SCCs on other sites as fanart, right? Just not use it here as a pet.

Question.....if I get a personal character of mine turned into an scc here (art would be made by someone on aywas)...does that mean my personal character as a whole is no longer mine? Or does it mean only the art instance of it on aywas belongs to aywas?
I've never really been good at understanding these legal issues and stuff.

Yes, you can commission things not used as pets or submitted to the site officially offsite. Mezma, only the image you submit becomes our property.
