Veteran Appreciation

Site Update

It is customary in the US to offer veterans discounts or free product on this special day. I'd like to offer active or past duty individuals (regardless of country) a gift of my own, to show my appreciation for your honorable and appreciated service.

Please send something to show your current or past status in your country's military to [email protected] with your Aywas ID, any personal or sensitive information blanked out, and you'll find something special in your account shortly.

Thank-you for appreciating our veterans, Slash. Today is a very important day for me, as my father is a veteran of 22 years, and of 8 wars, iirc. Not knowing if he would ever return home, being the first out for all of his combat situations, setting up for the next run of infantrymen was always hard for me, and even harder for him. Supporting our troops is one of the best things I find a person can do, even more for those who have survived but lost a part of themselves, be it physically, emotionally, spiritually, or otherwise--sometimes we can't always see the hurt that continues in our veterans, and it took 5 years out-of-service for my dad to ever mention his PTSD.
Again, thank-you so much.

Thank you Slash. My dad has just retired in the last month, finishing up his 20 years. The job has cost him his back, he cant walk well now, but you know what? He was still proud to serve his country. He has missed seeing his children grow up, and we have moved several times to different bases. But he doesn't complain. He doesn't regret his job. He is happy to have protected his home, and even though its basically cost him a good chunk of his life and now he cant do anything that he planned to do when he got out, hes happy. Im proud to say my father was a U.S. Core-man for the Navy, serving in Iraq, Somalia, and the U.S.S Nimitz. My father is a true American, and Im glad to be his son.
