Let's have a moment of silence for those who were lost ten years ago, and for how our world has changed.

I hope all of you remain safe today.

;w;
I was only six and I can still remember it. :/ I kind of wish I wouldn't.
It really doesn't feel like it was that long ago...

"Yeah, well, ten years now. 19 infidels committed the greatest attack on Islam in the world's history, not only killing three thousand innocent victims, but starting a series of events claiming the lives of untold millions of Muslims. I didn't see it that way when I was seven- by the time I was eight, I was cheering invasions of countries I'd never heard of. I'm seventeen now, and now I know that every day since has been 9/11 for someone- for millions of innocents. Every day."

Taken in part from a friend of mine who is both younger than myself and much, much wiser. His words open my eyes where those of politicians and newspapers have not.

I was also very young then and I still remember being crowded in a dark classroom watching the news and tower footage over and over. I didn't really get what exactly all of that meant back then and I do now. I'm not crier but when ever I start to think of the lives lost that day and the sadness and anger of those who lost loved ones, tears start to well up. ... I... think... I need a hug.... =(

I was very young when it happened, and at school...but I remember distinctly watching the reruns on tv of the towers falling...It was so horrific!

When 9/11 happened, I had just taken my sons to school and was sneaking in a little Donkey Kong time on their gaming system. Then I got the call to turn on the news.

What a horrible tragedy with the live tv footage showing things probably better left unseen.

Those memories still haunt me. (I've never played DK since either)

To all of those that lost their lives on this day; they are in my thoughts. To all of those who are a family member, friend, or loved one of someone who lost their life; you are in my prayers<3 Never forget.

I still honor those families and those heroes who were lost on that day. Those who forget history are doomed to repeat, may we never forget. Wish all the best to those families and friends left behind, I hope that time may truly bring you peace. -Garai
