Let's have a moment of silence for those who were lost ten years ago, and for how our world has changed.
I hope all of you remain safe today.

I cant imagine how it would feel to be a new yorker on that day.... I was just a 7 year old in louisiana and I was still afraid that maybe we'd get attacked too, or that there would be more attacks elsewhere. I mean, I didn't understand it completely, but there were adults crying all around me when it happened so I knew even then how terrible it was that something like this happened. My heart goes out to all of the heroes that helped, and all of the innocent people who were lost that day. <3 D:

Too our hero.
Too the fallen mothers
Too the fallen fathersand to the children who lost them all
We honor you. You thank you and from the depths of our souls we still give for you. You are all the pride of our country and today though most frightful in our lives and you we will celebrate your lives.

There really aren't any words to sum up my feelings. I remember, and won't forget.

The images of that day are burned into my head, and it still hurts just as much now as it does then. I still easily remember the horror I felt, and it was compounded by the silence, even here, almost entirely across the country. No traffic on the roads, no planes in the sky. It was really like the world did stop turning. (I'm currently listening to that song right now, so please excuse the reference, though it fits perfectly.) My heart goes out to all those who lost loved ones that day!

I was 7 too and I remember I was checked out of school and as I walked in the door the tv was on and I watched as one of the towers fell. My bro was 3 and for about 2 years he kept asking "Where are the big fires? How close are they?" and "Are there more?" It was terrifying even though we lived in Utah.
My thoughts are with all those family's that lost loved ones.
