Let's have a moment of silence for those who were lost ten years ago, and for how our world has changed.

I hope all of you remain safe today.

I awoke a decade ago to see the news update - a building in flames and another collapsing. I could not believe that this was real. It took a moment out of my life, just trying to comprehend this reality. I have a friend whose birthday is on the same day, so at least I can occupy myself with happiness and good thoughts on this day too.

Non-existence is the ultimate freedom from pain. True happiness has no pain.

Thank you for taking a moment to remember those lost and the heroes who gave so much on that day and after.

When I first heard about it, I was in high school math class with a certain teacher everybody liked who the following year became the first person I ever knew to die (of unrelated causes.)

I was only 8 but remember that entire day like it happened just yesterday. Every depressing detail. My heart goes out to all the families that still deal with the pain and those who were lost. May all of those stay strong today and the memories of everyone be always remembered. <3

I remember coming home after school and turning on the tv to see it all over the news at the age of 10. An old friend of mine lost her grandfather to that incident.
May all who have perished that day still rest in peace, and that the new memorial being erected in Ground Zero show our dedication to those who came in on a day that started out like an ordinary day, only to end in terror and flames.

I can't believe, that it's ten years ago. I can remember everything. And even here in Germany we were shocked about the tragedy.
Stay save everyone.
