Let's have a moment of silence for those who were lost ten years ago, and for how our world has changed.

I hope all of you remain safe today.

My boyfriend is originally from New York state, not the city, but still. Such a tragic day for us all, never will we be the same, always will we be vigilant. RIP, all victims of that day. -_- (Minute of silence)

It hurts. It hurts being a New Yorker and watching the reruns on TV. My parents didn't tell me what was going on. I was in school and they came and pulled me out. I don't really remember much of that day. It truly was a day when our whole world changed. Moment of silence for the lost ones, firefighters, police officers, and regular people who went to the World Trade Center on that beautiful morning for work- expecting a regular work day. You will forever be in our hearts. Rest in peace. We will never forget you.

Here's to remembering, and hoping for a future of peace. Stay safe, stay with those you love, and remember.

I was homeschooled, and was working on school when mom got a phone call, and essentially cancelled school - which was weird. We went into the car and drove around Boone, visiting her friends and listening to the radio. At first, I had no clue what was going on, the radio kept saying "They hit the world trade center, the buildings are burning" I didn't realize until later it was jet planes and ... I don't think we watched anything live since we were out. But I remember looking up at the sky and thinking "This day is too pretty for what's happening. It should be raining."
I can't remember when Civil Air Patrol next met, but I distinctly remember the senior members, sitting with his fingers laced, looking up from having his head bowed, saying "They pissed off the sleeping dog."

May we never forget.

I try my best not to think about it.
America announcing it to the world only shows the terrorists how much we still care.

I want to give everyone a little hope on today.. I just went to my friends daughters birthday party. Dee Dee was born on 9/11 ten years ago in the crazy moments between the first and second plane . She lives knowing what happened on that day but also has a positive outlook on life.
