Gold Paintbrushes

Items

You know how sometimes we offer a $15 artist voucher as a contest prize?

Gold Paintbrushes

This new item is the "solid" form of that voucher. You may trade your invisible $15 artist voucher for this item if you want. It is also on sale in the Cash Shop for 40 GP.

Here's how it works... if your favorite artist wants to make some money, you can see if they'll accept Gold Paintbrushes. After the artist completes the design, they can send the Gold Paintbrushes to me, user #1, along with the design image and who it was made for. The work is then redeemable for $15 USD via PayPal.

If you have an extra special design you want created, Gold Paintbrushes may be the way to go to get the best art you can possibly have :)

The first person to comment on Page 2 and Page 3 of this news post will receive a free Gold Paintbrushes item.

I agree with LGFDGFS (#271) maybe instead of the cash shop it could be in the purchase gp area...
Maybe you could even do something like the quil stone... I'd say it'd be good if you tacked it onto like the 150GP and 200gp price, so if you buy 150GP or 200gp you get the quil stone and the "gold paint brushs" item... I mean if you tack it on to the 150gp price then you'd still make $100 since it costs $115 for 150gp

Though I do understand the reason for putting it into the GP shop for so much, because the majority of the people that would really be willing to buy it from the GP shop would be the ones that collect their GP from other users rather then the people that just go and buy it out right...

maybe you could do both the way you have it and the way I suggested :3
that way people with $115 or more to spend on large amounts of GP will be more encouraged to do so, and then the people that don't have that much to spend at once would still have a chance at getting the gold paintbrushes ^w^

just an idea, hope I worded it so that it makes sense ^^;

While I like the idea of being able to pay an artist real money for a design, and I understand the need for a price that is high enough not to have the site run out of funds, that high price is probably just going to encourage people to break the rules and just use offsite communications to pay artists real money instead.
Not everyone is honorable, I'm afraid.
Though 40 GP isn't THAT much higher if you count the cheapest possible GP price [200 for 150$] and thus count gp not as a dollar, but as 75, making it $30, not $40 if you're just buying GP from the site [as many people will buy it in bulk].

Not every GP represents a dollar [or even 75 cents] paid to the site, though, GP can be won as well, or made for making site designs.

Not everyone is honorable enough not to break the rules, though. As has been seen countless times by people reserving posts in site contests [and getting away with it, which I do not think should happen]
