Metal Custom Event
In October (that'll be our second birthday, by the way), we will be holding a Metal Custom Event. In this event, you will be able to trade your metal custom orbs and crystals for mystery metal customs.
Not only will you see standard metal commons for Ay and Ara, but the site artists will be instructed to throw in some special customs as well... like metal uncommons, Lunarises, Vions, Hybrids, and maybe a Xaoc... maybe...
To make this event work, we are going to need to accumulate a HUGE number of designs...and that's where you come in! We are accepting submissions to the metal design grab bag here:
Metal Custom Event Thread
Prizes include 3 GP per accepted design and various tier bonuses. Designs will be inspected on Fridays.
Please read the rules of the thread before submitting. We hope this is going to be a really fun event, so save up your metal custom items in preparation (though I gather not many of you have been using them anyway!), and get coloring so we can save up the number of designs likely needed for such an event :)

I like my metal custom items and were hard enough for me to get as is. D:
I don't want to give them up. I can never find silver or iron pieces while exploring, maybe I'm looking in the wrong spot?
Though I do kinda like the thought behind the event, I like metal customs after all.

People actually have metal custom making items lol? ;p I have none, but I'm looking forward to the metals being made. Sounds cool! ^_^

As nice and fun as this metal event might sound. Most of us wont be able to participate since silver and iron pieces are no longer found in explore, slots and bones, making the metal items a big chunk more rare than they should be. As for me i will not trade in my two. I prefere to know what I create with them instead of taking the risk of getting a colouration I dont like and wasting a precious item.

er... you guys don't need to /own/ a crystal/orb to join the event '-' you can just edit a .PSD and post the .PNG in the thread.

This event doesnt seem too great. -shrugs- having something with BLUE submissions would be ten times better.
but i will try to submit some metals x.x
