Art Gallery

Contests

Six really awesome winners' pictures have been added to the Art Gallery:

Theme: Pixel Art

This week's theme is: Pencil Sketches*

This is a starred theme, which means anyone can enter regardless of whether they have won or not in the last few weeks.

It is starred because it is a mini-event/give away. After the six winners are chosen, I will be asking all of you to vote on an overall winner.

The overall winner will get a Copic Markers 72pc Set A, B, or C, depending on winner's preference, shipped to them so that the winner can advance their traditional art skills with some professional and fun tools.

The retail value of this is around $300. You can take a look at the Copic website here.

I would like to know if this is strictly for graphite pencil sketches, or if we could use a prismacolor to sketch (I assume using only one color -- but I've grown used to sketching in either prismacolor or prismacolor colerase xD)... or even if charcoal pencils are allowed?

You've tempted me into entering. o3o I've never even gotten to test-draw with a copic marker, and I've been dieing to have some to try out -flails- ...Starting on a picture makes me realized I've missed traditional pencil art. :'D

Hey guys, I just pinged Slash on the AywasTeam AIM screenname and got an answer regarding our question(s): No colored pencils - only traditional (ie: normal) graphite pencils are to be used but the level of depth is totally up to the artist entering.

Hope this helps XD

Good to know the rules because that means the piece I have been working so hard on will fit them! I am so happy to see a traditional art contest <3
