The Plio is the new raw pet. Staff discussed the way that the raw pet system works and it will be changing from the Plio on:
Raw pets will no longer, beginning with the Plio, be voted into an area. They will retire from the Raw item after their two months have passed. Every year on a yet undetermined date, all the retired Raw pets will be placed back into the Raw crystals for some sort of Raw Crystal Day. You can look forward to that day to make all the retired raw pets.
The Opterix is not affected by this change. You can vote on the Opterix below. You can choose to retire it like the Plio will be if you want, but the other options are there for you to choose from as well.
Begin making Plios by grabbing a Raw Crystal from the Cash Shop or another user.
You can find the Plio default in the BP Shop, and the PSD in the All Pet Genuses page, as normal.

As well, the new Plush set was released into the Plush Store. Spense informed me that he's too lazy to let you know himself. :p

Some other news:
1. We are still working out what to give out for Vamp/Zombie prizes. So far we have a few new battledome item ideas and some HA items. We could also release some vamp/zomb themed pets. If you have any ideas, let us know by posting them to this news post, we really need some!
2. Scav Hunt grading is underway. If you watch your list you should see admin comments and points popping up.
3. We figured out what's causing the 502 Gateway errors and will fix it when we see Yasu next. Hopefully that's soon!

I don't think I like how the new raw pet thing is working. And Pilo was spossed to be for the Tokens / Trash Shop.. so I guess this means no more new trash shop pets ever? ;.; thats really really sad. :(

Even an entire week can be torture when you get an amazing design and you already -have- your crystal to make it...if that's the case, why make it so restricted at all?
What was wrong with letting users utilize the custom-uploading feature whenever they want to, as long as they have the two things required to do so (a pet design and the item needed to make it into an official pet)?..

A week is still bad, but its a lot better than a day. I'd be a lot more happy with a week instead of a day, but I don't see why we shouldn't be able to make Raw pets whenever we want to.

I'd rather have things retired than see every Raw Pet from now until I die go into tokens 8|
BUT the pilo is really cute <3 I guess I'll have to work out an idea for one soon!

I like the idea of zombie/vamp theme pets. I admit I'm biased though, because I don't spend a ton of time on much else but collecting pets that I like. ;)

I don't want them all in tokens either. But I don't want them retired either. Thats just.. I don't like it. Its a bad choice I think. I know its the staffs to make, but I wish the players had some say.
I think that instead of voting or retiring, the staff should decide where raw crystal pets go. That way not everything is in tokens. >> And don't worry. I did not vote for the dino bird to go in tokens just so its easy to make.
But the way this has been decided.. will make it so we get way less new orb and token and crystal pets. I don't think thats good..:(

this is irritating. I feel like we have TOO MANY SECTIONS of species and it is getting confusing for new players too. Ay, Ara, Trash...now raw? and they are becoming "rare"? It takes a long time to save for crystals for some of us too. I think the STAFF should choose where the new pet goes based on its art. Some have more of an ara feel while others have an ay feel. Opterix seems ay to me while plio seems ara. And i voted ay for opterix, not that my vote matters among themany who just want them cheap. It does not seem trash dump. Having a new section kinda pisses me off to be honest. How does this new set fit into breeding? Will there be hybrids there too? Are you going to compensate by releasing yet MORE of an abundance of species to the other sections since this one will get new pets every 2 months? Honestly.....bad idea. Just pick where it goes among staff...not users...solves the problem.
