Scavenger Hunt

Contests

Scavenger Hunt ends in approximately 3 Hours.

Please make use of this remaining time to ask any last questions in the questions forum (I will be going through it once more, then that's it). Please make an effort to ensure your List Submission questions are using HTML, also, as that makes life a whole lot easier in grading. Failure to use HTML means it'll take me longer to grade your list and you won't get a grade back as promptly.

Also-- don't forget the list submission is automated, so as soon as the clock hits midnight it's going to close. Don't wait until the last minute. Don't wait until the last minute for the Effort Prize thread either, because that'll close at midnight as well!

The new Plush Set will come tomorrow so you can finish up Scav and go see that new HP movie. ;)

Cheers!

Nuriko, you do realize that a good team would communicate, right? The whole team should be aware of what everyone wants to do and should have no issues with it. If the team leader of Team Whatever has a problem with Sally wanting to try for an effort prize, Sally should find a new team or be a one-person team and do Scav how she wants to.

|D well our youtube link for the last task didnt get posted and we got a gateway error for one of the other submissions too, and we did NOT wait until the last minute, we WORKED until the last minute.
But you know what? This was the best scav ever, errors and all. Thanks so much for setting this up for us slash, it's amazing. <3 people need to remember that other sites don't do this, and you arent even obliged to give us the opportunity.

This is my first time I actually participated in scav, I've never bothered to look for a team until now, and it was probably the most fun I've had on Aywas! I admit that I thought we would have an extra day, but I didn't really bother to check exactly when it would end, looking at the news post, I can see that it was posted a week before today, so obviously we wouldn't get an extra day. The errors were frustrating, but I still had a great time. My team members were awesome, and I hope we place :3
Thanks for the awesome event!

Oh, was the original news post supposed to say it ends midnight the /14th/? Because that would have been beneficial to know.

Also, just because a team member spits out 20 tasks, doesn't mean the quality isn't good. Just because you spend 20 hours on something, doesn't mean it's automatically going to be better than something I can spit out in 5 hours. It's practice, knowledge, and understanding of time management.

Again, don't like it, don't participate. I for one, am glad that Slash holds these events so the community can get to know people and make a team, and work for a common goal. If you only look at is as "bawl, I didn't get enough points because I spent xx-amount of time on something, when xxxx spent only x-amount of time.", then you will never get anything. I take it as a fun experience for me and my team.

I was our team leader, I had to manage time to do 10 different art tasks(Which were good quality, btw, though they only took me a few hours to complete), while keeping my team on track and making sure we got things done and submitted.

And you know what? If your team member spent 20 hours on something and got the effort prize... They /deserved/ it, because they put the time into it. That one thing was done by that one person, the whole team didn't do it. The idea is to /work as a team/ not work /for yourself/.

We had people who didn't do that much, but we still got a lot of tasks done. It's called picking up slack. It's also called learning. Take it as a learning experience, not something to just throw out because you didn't get the amount of points or what you wanted.

Boo, one of my team members wasn't able to submit pictures of her fursuit because of the gateway errors. So much work gone to waste! D:

I didn't have any trouble with understanding midnight on the 15th, but I can easily see how someone might.

But anyway, scav was awesome! I've never done anything like this before, and it was a lot of fun. Thanks so much for the scav hunt. I really look forward to the next one! ^^
