Although.. now that I think about it, it doesn't specifically say that you could get them by means of hunting for them and capturing them... XD

Doesn't say anything about being able to hunt and capture them.
Perhaps you're only supposed to be able to get them by using certain items and that's the trick to it? p: Everyone who has the pets seems to have used tiny glittering rocks or aynip.
