This very, very rare item was recently stolen from someone. How? A scamming lair partner.

Please, please, PLEASE think about who you plan to let onto your account. As Aywas gets bigger, scammers start showing up, which is unfortunately what one user experienced tonight. A nice, friendly user was really a scammer - and stole all the rare items off their "new partner"'s account.

Your BIGGEST defense against scammers is to look at the activity of the person you're considering let onto your account. How long have they been involved in the community? Do they make contributions - pet colors, suggestions, wearables, etc? When did they register? Do they have things of value (customs, custom HA items, etc) that they wouldn't want to lose by scamming?

Let's face it - if you have nice things, someone will want to take them from you. Don't let it happen. Make sure that the person you're planning on trusting doesn't seem like someone who is obviously not up to par with you, riches wise. If you have a lot of nice things, they should too. Otherwise, who's to say they won't steal yours?

Lair partners can make Aywas a better, more personal game for both players. But you need to make sure you look at how trustworthy, based on activity, that person is. That way you have a better net to filter out the scammers.

This is very sad. Unfortunately it's why I can't trust anyone but my dear rl family. I feel really bad for the victim. I hope everything goes well for them.

OMG that's terrible! I thought this was a site where we wouldn't have problems like this. DX I hope the scammer gets their butt kicked off for good!

Sorry for the person that had the item stolen... Stealing will not lead them to any good.

This is awful! It's terrible when you trust and your trust is broken. The staff is so nice and understanding here, and I know the majority of the users are willing to help out, but the emotional aspect can't be fixed so easily. This may just be online, but these are real people, and real trust. D: <3 I hope everything turns out okay.

=/ How horrible. I've always been too untrusting to seek out a lair partner. I hope the victim in this incident can recover quickly.
