This very, very rare item was recently stolen from someone. How? A scamming lair partner.
Please, please, PLEASE think about who you plan to let onto your account. As Aywas gets bigger, scammers start showing up, which is unfortunately what one user experienced tonight. A nice, friendly user was really a scammer - and stole all the rare items off their "new partner"'s account.
Your BIGGEST defense against scammers is to look at the activity of the person you're considering let onto your account. How long have they been involved in the community? Do they make contributions - pet colors, suggestions, wearables, etc? When did they register? Do they have things of value (customs, custom HA items, etc) that they wouldn't want to lose by scamming?
Let's face it - if you have nice things, someone will want to take them from you. Don't let it happen. Make sure that the person you're planning on trusting doesn't seem like someone who is obviously not up to par with you, riches wise. If you have a lot of nice things, they should too. Otherwise, who's to say they won't steal yours?
Lair partners can make Aywas a better, more personal game for both players. But you need to make sure you look at how trustworthy, based on activity, that person is. That way you have a better net to filter out the scammers.

Well, me and Zenzo are pretty much set for life with each other. we were talking to some others, but they either stopped chatting or we couldn't agree who was awesome. So it's just me and zenzo again, I think. : < That sucks someone would steal from some one who was being nice. ; 0 ; if Zenzo did that to me, I'd have like, the biggest sad ever cause I spend waaaaay too much monies on this site and spend to much time here. : M; I am glad i got lucky with my lair partner. - huggles and luffs zenzo-

It's a terrible thing that somebody would do such a thing..and I totally agree that you need to be careful, but it's dangerous to red flag everyone who might not be as active/spend as much money on the site.
It's true, some people like that are probably out for people's money/stuff but just because some of us can't draw/don't have spare cash to spend on pet sites, doesn't mean that we are all bad people. ^^:

Oh dear. I can't imagine how someone could be so petty and selfish, especially to someone who opened their account to them and put so much faith in them.

one way trip to the waterfall! and an IP ban too i would suspect, which would serve them right. people like that don't belong on aywas. I hope the poor person got their items back... i myself was thinking of a partner(being only a month old member) but now in light of this announcement I believe i'll either hold back and get more experience with things or ask one of my friends from RL...
