This very, very rare item was recently stolen from someone. How? A scamming lair partner.
Please, please, PLEASE think about who you plan to let onto your account. As Aywas gets bigger, scammers start showing up, which is unfortunately what one user experienced tonight. A nice, friendly user was really a scammer - and stole all the rare items off their "new partner"'s account.
Your BIGGEST defense against scammers is to look at the activity of the person you're considering let onto your account. How long have they been involved in the community? Do they make contributions - pet colors, suggestions, wearables, etc? When did they register? Do they have things of value (customs, custom HA items, etc) that they wouldn't want to lose by scamming?
Let's face it - if you have nice things, someone will want to take them from you. Don't let it happen. Make sure that the person you're planning on trusting doesn't seem like someone who is obviously not up to par with you, riches wise. If you have a lot of nice things, they should too. Otherwise, who's to say they won't steal yours?
Lair partners can make Aywas a better, more personal game for both players. But you need to make sure you look at how trustworthy, based on activity, that person is. That way you have a better net to filter out the scammers.

Wow. I've never met Vi in real life, but we've been internet pals for years. I trust her enough not to do anything, and half of almost everything on here is hers now, anyway. XD Sorry for whoever this happened to, I know its probably going to be hard for them to trust for awhile, and that's unfortunate.

Yup, another reaffirmation of why I distrust people in general. I hope you were able to help the victim though, I couldn't imagine being betrayed and simultaneously losing the best of my collection with no hope of getting it back. I also hope there's the vicious, ravenous hybrid of a great white and an electric eel waiting at the bottom of the waterfall for that no-good thief.

I can tell that the great staff here really sympathise with this user and what not, so I was just wondering, did they get item back through them?
If not, is there some kind of way we could help the user by donating stuff? I don't have anything really worth much but I wouldn't mind contributing a bit of what I have, so sad to hear about something like this happening.

That's horrible! I'm glad that my previous partner was such a lovely person, I know she'd never do anything like that. I'm sorry to hear that someone fell prey to a cruel person who stole their things, I hope the staff was able to help her recover her items.

Thank you for your help, Slash <3 Yes, people, please be aware of who you let into your lair! It's no fun signing in to see that your rare pets and items have been stolen away.
