This very, very rare item was recently stolen from someone. How? A scamming lair partner.

Please, please, PLEASE think about who you plan to let onto your account. As Aywas gets bigger, scammers start showing up, which is unfortunately what one user experienced tonight. A nice, friendly user was really a scammer - and stole all the rare items off their "new partner"'s account.

Your BIGGEST defense against scammers is to look at the activity of the person you're considering let onto your account. How long have they been involved in the community? Do they make contributions - pet colors, suggestions, wearables, etc? When did they register? Do they have things of value (customs, custom HA items, etc) that they wouldn't want to lose by scamming?

Let's face it - if you have nice things, someone will want to take them from you. Don't let it happen. Make sure that the person you're planning on trusting doesn't seem like someone who is obviously not up to par with you, riches wise. If you have a lot of nice things, they should too. Otherwise, who's to say they won't steal yours?

Lair partners can make Aywas a better, more personal game for both players. But you need to make sure you look at how trustworthy, based on activity, that person is. That way you have a better net to filter out the scammers.

God that really sucks. :( I was just talking to my boyfriend last night about the great experiences I've had with the community on this site. It's easy to forget that there are still people like that out and about. I hope everything with that user and the scammer got resolved alright.

Eeeek! This is exactly why I have my own account. I'm really sorry this happened to whoever it happened to and I really hope it gets resolved soon if it hasn't been already.

I'm not an artist or anything, and I don't suggest, but even if I'd like to take some of Shin's rare items; I don't. I've been around since November, and I'm sick and disgusted at this. They trust you! How could you steal items from someone who does that?! ~Thief

How terrible! So sorry to whoever got scammed. Things like this is why I prefer to keep to myself account-wise. I only have myself to blame if something gets lost. I know there are plenty of trustworthy people around aywas, but I'd rather keep them as friends. (I won't even be partners with my own brother :| )

well... at least it was just in an online game, and not irl... i assume that the staff fixed it, since technically the staff could give anything to anyone if they wanted to since it's just code =P (the only thing really stopping them would be that giving people tons of rare stuff at random would screw up the economy, which obviously isn't the case here XP)
