This very, very rare item was recently stolen from someone. How? A scamming lair partner.
Please, please, PLEASE think about who you plan to let onto your account. As Aywas gets bigger, scammers start showing up, which is unfortunately what one user experienced tonight. A nice, friendly user was really a scammer - and stole all the rare items off their "new partner"'s account.
Your BIGGEST defense against scammers is to look at the activity of the person you're considering let onto your account. How long have they been involved in the community? Do they make contributions - pet colors, suggestions, wearables, etc? When did they register? Do they have things of value (customs, custom HA items, etc) that they wouldn't want to lose by scamming?
Let's face it - if you have nice things, someone will want to take them from you. Don't let it happen. Make sure that the person you're planning on trusting doesn't seem like someone who is obviously not up to par with you, riches wise. If you have a lot of nice things, they should too. Otherwise, who's to say they won't steal yours?
Lair partners can make Aywas a better, more personal game for both players. But you need to make sure you look at how trustworthy, based on activity, that person is. That way you have a better net to filter out the scammers.

This is why my only Lair partner is my RL family. I don't know that I would trust someone I didn't know explicitly to mess around with my accounts. I mean, I have nothing as rare as what was probably stolen in this, but I wouldn't want to rise it either. :/ My best wishes to the victim and curses to the thief - I know you've heard it a million times already, but if we can help PLEASE let us know.

=/ How awful :( I hope the person who had their things stolen has been helped and the bad guy/girl banished forever. I only have been playing a bit over a month now and I don't have alot but I would be sad to lose what I do have. Sorry to whomever lost their stuff. -hugs-

My deepest sympathies. I'm not a trusting person and this is yet another reason why.

I am hoping to move in with my own lair partner soon - it's terrible that there are actually people out there who aren't phased by the fact that what they are doing is morally wrong.

That's sick. Aywas is a player-friendly community. For someone to do that...that's just sick and wrong and horrible and I HOPE that the scammer gets what they deserve. And I hope that the person who had their things stolen gets everything returned.

Awh, that makes me so sad. :( Joey and I share everything, from GP to pets to items, so I doubt we'll ever have any problems, but I still feel for whoever got scammed. Hopefully this doesn't prevent them from ever sharing an account again, because it really is a lot more fun playing with someone else. khd, fjvhktg if we can help, we will.

Also I agree with Celtic Maiden up there, now that I read through the messages. "Let me know is there is anyway I can help the victim out." <--Let me know too, and Sol and I can try our hardest to help too.

That's horrible! :( I'm so sad to hear that happened. Aywas is awesome as it is - it's so trustworthy and everyone is so nice. Is there anything the community can do, or did they get their item back?

:( That is so horrible. And also a big reason I don't have a lair partner. I's seriously afraid of that happening. T_T

I am appalled that someone would do this! Let me know is there is anyway I can help the victim out.
