Allo'! Long time no see folks. I just wanted to take today to address a few changes based on interactions I have had with artists over the past few weeks.
Design Panel Changes
We are only hiring artists who are accepting GP or Artist's Credit as payment from today on wards. This may be changed in the future, and artists may be contacted about pre-pay as well, but the base pay will only be GP or AC.
I have had several artists express that they would love to just be able to grab a design when they have time and finish it, as such we are no longer requiring artists to finish 1 design a month. We have been loosely monitoring it as is, so we are officially removing that requirement. The only timeframe is if you grab a design you must have it complete within 2 weeks unless there is an agreement between the artist and user.
I have also revamped the old Design Ticket Catalog KB and it is now the Design Ticket Feature KB article, it still contains the previous catalog along with additional information.
Due to these new rules you must pm me, Kaiyo #489 stating what you want as payment and what team you have applied on before I will process your application.
As such with these changes, I probably just denied your application if you had previously applied to be on MDT or the Design team. If you are interested in applying with these changes then please reapply!
If anyone is still planning to turn in any sets for the Mayday sale, this is your last reminder that the due date to have all sets turned in to Mayday Marie (#11) is tomorrow, May 12th!
In case anyone needs a refresher, the Mayday Sale will run May 16th through May 20th, with May 21st being the normal credit day. The item needed to nab an Exotic pet is the Exotic Spring Egg, and for those of you who are new to the sales, "Special Credit" is credit that you can only accumulate during the sale by making purchases! The details for the days themselves are as follows, so be sure to plan accordingly:

Special USD Bonus Credit will merge into the original USD Bonus Credit Exotic Spring Egg will be available in the 25 USD Bonus Credit The tiers will be cleared at 11:59 PM AST (The Spring Exotic Egg will remain in the tiers until this time as well, even if there are no more Exotics available, so that collectors can obtain them.)- - - - - - - - - -
While not all of the sets have been turned in, feel free to indulge in a little bit of a sneak peek at what lovely pets will be available this year by visiting the Event Exotics Box!
To simplify it: The Sweater Egg is still showing but it is not the egg that will be used! If you buy a sweater egg you will not be reimbursed

Unfortunately as you have most likely noticed our remaining 2 jeweled artists have not been able to complete their sets in time. So for the month of May you are welcome to create any base from a previous May set! You can view all the bases in their respective Knowledge Base articles: Jeweled Crystal, Jeweled Hybrid Crystal, and Jeweled Rare Crystal.
If you are looking to join the ranks of our Jeweled Artists please visit the thread and post your examples!
The Sketch Coin team is looking for artists!
Sketch artists get to work with a great variety of different pairs; land-air-sea and even more, frilly or elegant, scary or cute.
It's also perfect work for those artists who feel like editing or colouring is not their thing, and would rather run wild with entirely new beasts of their own design.
Lists are 1-5 pairs to be completed every 7 days.
14 GP per pair, or 21Credits for those who'd rather have that.

Our Easter festivities have now come to a close! The Easter Egg Field will no longer require you to deposit an egg before collecting a new one, so once all eggs have been collected, the field will close as well. Be sure to save any cute images or PSDs that you may have gotten in them and want to keep!
As a reminder, all sets for the Mayday Sale must be completed and turned in by May 12th!

Monster Capture Bug

It's come to our attention that there is a certain bug with the "Monster Capture" feature. Typically there is a 10% chance that once a Monster is beaten in battle by a pet with the "Monster Certification" Skill, you may receive a prompt asking if you want the Monster to come join your lair. It seems that despite telling the Monster you want it to join you, the pet is not appearing in users' lairs.
The report has already been passed onto the coder and will hopefully be fixed soon. This newspost will be updated accordingly once it has.
Please do not use certain items such as Monster Flute, Monster Detector, or other Monster Summoning items at this time if you are doing so SOLELY to capture Monsters for your lair! Since the 'allow the monster to join your lair' feature is broken currently, if you use these items for that purpose alone it will be a waste.
We apologize for this sudden bug and hope to have squished out very soon!

Seasonal Shop & Easter Painter

What is this? It seems that snapdragons have started popping up in a few Adventure locations! If you see any, be sure to snap them up, as these serve as the currency for the Seasonal Shop! There is a nice assortment of pets and items for you to enjoy as well as the Blank Egg. Some of you may already know what the Blank Egg will be used for...
The Easter Painter has a few pets that are waiting to be created! Along with the Blank Egg, you will need certain types and amount of dyes, which are found in Adventure. The recipe will tell you exactly what you need if you hover over the image, so there won't be any surprises!
The Seasonal Shop, Easter Painter, Easter Egg Field, and the special Adventure pets will all retire after the end of the month, so if there's anything you'd like, be sure to nab it before 11:59 PM AST on April 30th!
