As a reminder, the deadline for the Lunar Meteor Pet Submissions is 11:59 PM AST on August 9th. Additionally, the deadlines for coloring the Radiant and Astronomer HA bases is 11:59 PM AST on August 16th!

And now, a very special message from Yasu!
Kaiyo finally let me out of the basement, so I can share some things we've been working on in the background.
HTML5 Games
Expect to see our three flash games converted over to HTML5. What does this mean? This means no more annoying Flash deprecetation messages. Our new HTML5 games have been recoded from the grounds up each with a new coat of paint and some additional features for each. Our HTML5 games will also be playable on mobile devices! You can expect these games to be released sometime this month!
If everything goes well with all the stuff we plan on releasing this month, we'll also be releasing an additional HTML5 before the end of this month that I'm sure you'll be hooked on! Here's a little hint:
Games Backend
In addition to our game rework, we also reworked out backend for how game scores are processed and how you earn BP from the games. We are doing away with some things that we're sure will make everyone happy while adding a few additional features to it. We will release more information about this rework later next week and plan on releasing a beta for everyone to try out and leave feedback.
Fauna Frenzy
A massive project we've been working on for quite some time. This was meant to be released for quite some time, but we kept feeling it wasn't quite up to par with what we wanted the end result to be. After many months of reworking it, we are quite happy with the final results and should be releasing this sometime later this month.
New Layout
We have been hard at work refactoring both the back and front ends of the site for quite some time now. We're hoping to have this completed before the end of this year. We are close to completing a new layout for the site which will be more functional than our current, reduce overhead on the server, and *hopefully* play well with mobile. While we're not quite ready to show it off this month, we're going to try and sneak in a preview of it sometime in September or October.
Uh oh.. Kaiyo is coming back! Back to the basement for me... At lease she brought coffee this time!

SCRIBBLES AND PLBC YEEHAW

Let's do something about that!
Starting tomorrow -- when the clock rolls over to August 1st, 12:00:00 am AST -- we'll let you guys in on some sweet and juicy Scribble bonuses!
This mini event will run for seven days so that everyone has a chance to grab a coin and join in the fun!
August 1: A 10% chance that your breeding will include a small edit between founders pulled from the parents. (Derpy Dragon/Married pairs only) -- Smudged Coins have a 10% chance of an extra unbreedable baby!
August 2: All breedings act as if a Painted Bottle is included!
August 3: Have a married pair and want some extra babies? Today's the day for that! Derpy Dragons added onto a Married pair will result in one extra unbreedable baby!
August 4: Pulling from last year's event, you may add one word in the breeding notes to inspire the artist when they draw your baby! For example, adding the word "Grumpy" will have your artist making you grumpy looking offspring. If you add more than one word to the notes to inspire your artist, it will be ignored.
**the artist will not be adding edits that are not available on the parents. Please do not say "hat" if neither parent has a hat, as your note will not be used in that case.**
August 5: Fruit theme! All breedings submitted this day will either be colored to match some sweet summer treats if the breeding results in two babies or will have a fruit-themed accessory if the breeding would result in one baby.
August 6: List a third parent in the breeding notes to influence the baby! This parent MUST be a pet that you own
August 7: Roulette! Each breeding has an equal chance to have one of the previous perks applied to it: Fruit theme, small edits, extra unbreedable baby, Painted Bottle, or perhaps nothing at all and normal breeding rules apply.
To qualify for these perks, the babies must be done by a site artist -- predicts will not apply.

The PMBC and PLBC teams are looking for artists!
Do you have a knack for edit mixing? Want to show off your coloring skills? Then why not apply to one or both of the teams!
Painted Lesser Breeding Coin (PLBC) pays 11 GP per baby or 17 Credit per baby, and Painted Metal Breeding Coin (PMBC) pays 9 GP per baby or 14 Credit per baby. The list sizes for both coins are 1-5 babies with a deadline of 7 days.

Story Game & Lunar Meteor

(Staff clarification: Monthly HA contest is being held in it's usual way, but two bases will be chosen (1st and 2nd place in the poll). Colourations will be polled as normal, and while all the designs will go in the same shop they will be priced with the usual currencies (1st place: GP ; 2nd place: BP ; 3rd place: PP). As such all prizes will be as normal for the contest. Good luck!)

Site Update
Just a quick note that, since the Bigger BP Challenge has ended, the BP Sink page has been removed from the Play dropdown menu.
You can find all the PSDs in their new home in the Knowledge Base, and the crystals can continue to be purchased from the BP Shop.
We may host another one at a later time, at which point we'll put up a news post and reinstate the link.
Thank you to everyone who took part in the Bigger BP Challenge, and I hope everyone enjoys the PSDs.
