If anyone is still planning to turn in any sets for the Black Friday sale, this is your last reminder that the due date to have all sets turned in to Mayday Marie (#11) is by the end of today, November 12th!
In case anyone needs a refresher, the Black Friday Sale will run November 19th through November 23rd, with November 24th being the normal credit day. The item needed to nab an Exotic pet is 2020 Vision Exotic Egg, and for those of you who are new to the sales, "Special Credit" is credit that you can only accumulate during the sale by making purchases! The Kera is now the active Raw genus, which means that you can purchase the Fossil Kera in the BP Shop! It will remain the active genus until January, so be sure to make a note of this in case you wish to make any!
To prevent the winter festivities from sneaking up on us too quickly, we will now allow everyone to vote for which group of Hybrid pets will be considered for receiving a new line art for the Winter Warmer #25! Remember, while everyone will be choosing which group they like, staff will have the final call on which genus within the winning group will get a new line art.
We will once again be using the chart that Hamner (#13) provided to make things easier! Since Rare won for the Love Potion #9 and Ay Hybrid M - Z won for the Halloween Concoction #13, they are not eligible categories for this round.

Zombie A-chomp-calypse Conclusion

After a few days worth of battle, the Spoopy Mansion has finally been boarded up so that it can be deep cleaned to remove any lingering green particles, and so that no one has to deal with that unbearable, gassy smell.
"Okay, it seems like everyone is back to normal now," Querel said after ensuring that no one was particularly green or gooey. "I guess I should say sorry; I didn't give you as potent a vaccine as I should have to make you completely immune because we needed the show to go on for a little longer."
Seeing some confusion on a few faces, Querel continued speaking. "So, I'm sure you all know that Greta and Aketch have been a little different ever since that candy fiasco they pulled. Well, we had our suspicions over what happened, but we couldn't really... prove anything, y'know? At least, we wanted to be careful about it, since we didn't know what they would do if we acted too soon."
With all eyes on him, Querel took that as a sign that everyone wanted to know more. "It seems like those two were enthralled by the chaos all of you created, and so we were able to get the upper-hand on them. Tech was able to place a tracker on them, and he went with Miksa to track them down. I'm sure wherever they're going, that's where the real Greta and Aketch are."
Even after that explanation, everyone seemed to be waiting expectantly. "... This isn't about a 'reward' or 'prizes,' it is?" After a bit of clamoring from his audience, Querel sighed deeply. "Okay, okay..."
As stated before, participation was the greatest factor in this event, and so the trophies will be handed out in regard to that! The top 10 participants will receive a Gold Zombie A-chomp-calypse Trophy, regardless of which team they were on! The next top 25 participants will receive a Silver Zombie A-chomp-calypse Trophy, and everyone who posted at least ten times will receive a Bronze Zombie-A-chomp-calypse Trophy for their participation!
Additionally, we have some "team based" achievements for those who posted 10+ times!
A shirt that reads "I survived the Zombie A-chomp-calypse and all I got was this dumb shirt." This item is a reward for those who switched teams during the Zombie A-Chomp-calypse event and unlocks the "Jack of All Teams" achievement.
You never know when zombies may attack, so it's best to always be prepared! This item is a reward for those who began as an Uninfected player and was never infected during the Zombie A-chomp-calypse event, unlocking the "I'm a Survivor" achievement.
It seems like someone didn't finish their dinner! This item is a reward for those who began as an Infected player and was never vaccinated during the Zombie A-chomp-calypse event, unlocking the "Brain Connoisseur" achievement.
We know that this event was a bit different in comparison to our usual events, but we hope that everyone enjoyed the change of pace and perhaps even made a few new friends! We will take into consideration the feedback thread that was created, and due to various instances of unsportsmanlike conduct, we will also reevaluate how we handle those cases in the future so that the events remain fun for everyone. The story will continue during our winter festivities, so please look forward to it!

Ghoulish Gala is Ending

As some of you may have noticed, some of the Ghoulish Gala festivities have been prolonged alongside the Zombie A-chomp-calypse event! Everything will be officially wrapped up tonight at midnight, meaning after 11:59 PM AST on November 2nd.
As of now, the Pumpkin Patch will not require you to deposit a pumpkin before claiming one. Please make sure to save any images or PSDs that you received in your pumpkins that you would like to keep if you already haven't!
If there are any pets you still need to create in Frankenstein's Lab, please remember that it takes time to resurrect them, so you'll want to gather anything you may still need to make them as soon as possible.
With everyone being able to receive Candy and Bootato in the Spoopy Mansion, the Seasonal Shop will stay open until 11:59 PM AST on November 3rd in order to let everyone spend any last minute earnings from the event.

I'm going to give it to everyone who isn't infected first, because some of you seem really excited about turning everyone green and mushy. Plus, I know some you were plotting to try and stop me from making it," he continued, staring directly at a select few of the infected.
After vaccinating the remaining uninfected Aywans, Querel said, "Now go on, be free, go get your revenge and turn them back into the probably-normal humans that they are."
The tides have turned - leave no Aywan uncured!

Spoopy Mansion
Events
Oh no! It appears that Greta and Aketch have done a little more than simply stealing something from Querel and hiding it... they've unleashed its contents, which have been turning Aywans! The Zombie A-chomp-calypse has begun!
This event takes place inside The Spoopy Mansion, which is now inhabited by infected and uninfected users. The goal is simple: you must overtake the mansion for the sake of your own team! If your team is able to take over a "room," you will reap the benefits that it gives for an hour while the fight to take it over begins again!
How do we take over a room?
In order to successfully take over a room, your team must account for 51% of that forum's posts. It sounds simple, right? Well, there are also skills that each team can use that will help their chances... and perhaps even help keep uninfected users from being turned!
How do we use skills?
Users can find targets for their skills, also known as spells, by posting in a topic. When posting, a list of users who have posted previously within a certain time frame will be available - you will have to use your spell within a certain amount of time, otherwise it will expire! Users can see an event log of actions taken against them on the sidebar. Play around with the spells to see what all you can do!

What does the icon on a topic mean?
When new topics are created in certain forums, a benefit to posting in that thread will appear! For example, if you create a discussion in the Backyard, you and other users will be able to harvest wood by posting in that topic. Be careful though, because this means the team will be able to post and target everyone as well! Some "rooms" also have healing benefits if you get hurt.
For example, if you are an uninfected user and an infected user lets out gas where you are posting, your immunity will go down. To remedy this, you can run to the Master Bathroom and create a topic to raise your immunity back up.
How do I know where to go for these things?
The best way to survive (or turn other users!) is to work together. If you notice that there is an active topic to get wood, tell your team about it! If you see someone stuck in a gas cloud and you know that the Master Bathroom will help, let them know! A spooky mansion requires thorough investigation, so don't be afraid to be the first to start a discussion in an unknown room!
Even though this may be seen as a team event, contribution is key! Please do your best no matter which team you are on, and have fun!

After searching a location nicknamed The Spoopy Mansion, some Aywans have discovered an empty vial that seemed suspiciously more clean than its surroundings and brought it back to Querel. While he seemed relieved to have it returned to him, the fact its contents were gone seemed to trouble him.
"Okay, since the vial is empty, I'm going to have to ask you to do something really tedious, okay? I need you to see if you can find any of the liquid that was in this anywhere in that mansion," Querel stated, waving the empty container lightly. "They probably just put it into another container, so that should be your starting point to search. The liquid will be, uh, sort of glowing."
Before you could ask any questions, Querel hurried off, seeming to have something weighing heavily on his mind. Well, it's time to go back into the cobwebs and dust to get searching!

Exotic Pet Palace Stock

"As some of you may have noticed, my Exotic Pet Palace has received a new stock of pets! They're eager and awaiting new loving owners!"
In case you weren't aware, the Exotic Pet Palace is on a stock rotation schedule with the stock changing every 3 months. After the 3 months, the pets currently in stock will be permanently retired and a new stock will replace them. So get them while you can!
If you want to have the chance of getting a design of yours into the pet shop, go ahead and submit them to the Pet Coloration Submissions forum. Most of the submitted designs will be put into Adventure, but some random designs will be kept to go into the pet shop!
If your design is now in the pet shop please contact Lacia (#25044) for your free copy. That's right, if your design is accepted and put in the shop you get a free copy. That could save you a good amount of BP!
