Site Update
I was just informed that our script to remake missing accounts is now complete, so we're going to be going through the missing account e-mails and start reconstructing them (starting tomorrow, after our weekly backup is completed, to make sure there are no issues during it). Waiting for the script to be completed was stressful for both us and you, and we're happy to be able to re-invite those players back in and be able to accept new accounts soon as we're done.
Also, if you have a lair with too many pets and not enough pet slots, you can visit your lair to have that issue autocorrected. There are still other issues for us to fix and we'll start brainstorming solution to them as soon as the missing account data restore has been fully finished. We hope to have that finished on Tuesday, if no unexpected issues pop up.
In the meantime, here is something to look forward to - at the end of March (the 29th, 30th, and 31st), we're going to have an Artist Event. A whole bunch of the most talented artists on Aywas have been contacted to set up a live art stream on one of those days, so everyone can visit their streams and learn from how they edit their Aywas designs! There will be about ten artists per day each streaming for an hour, so you'll have plenty of people to watch and learn from.
It would be really, really awesome if the userbase in general could create some art tutorials for the event, also--whether you're a starting artist or an experienced one, your knowledge can help someone else and we can come together as a community and help each other improve and grow.

Speedy Breeding Ticket
Items
The Speedy Breeding Ticket has been released in the GP Shop for 25 GP. For this time that it's available publicly (until BCs are out of the shop), here's how it's going to work: there is going to be one dedicated BC/LBC artist who handles all breedings sped up with this item, and that's MissMally (#473). Her lists will be composed entirely of these sped up breedings.
If you don't recall her work, her BC stuff is here, and her LBC stuff is here.
If this works out really well then the item may be offered more times in the future (with appropriate breaks to make sure no long queues get established for it -- that is our main concern, since we don't quite know what to price it for a wide release like this). Either way, enjoy!
EDIT: Please understand that this item purchased via this release is BC and LBC Only (that includes HBC and other stuff that goes on BC lists) and cannot be combined with an artist ticket. If you obtained one prior to this, you can still use it however you want, but items released this way must have that restriction.

Site Update
I'm sure you missed my pretty blue face, and I know Aywas is an awful bore without my glorious updates (
The last few weeks have been extremely busy for us behind the scenes, filled with lots of late nights, too much coffee, and plenty of monitor shaking. The good news? Is that we've made bucketfuls of progress and that every setback or issue that arises points us to a better track for the future. We really appreciate you guys sticking it out with us and for how overwhelmingly supportive and patient you have been! As players ourselves, we know it sucks not to be able to play a game you love to its fullest extent, but we think it's important to take the time to focus on healing our beloved Aywas. <3
With that being said, there are a couple quick things that I want to highlight!
Namely, missing/lost accounts. This is a pesky hurdle for us, but an absolute priority, and I will hopefully have a more detailed update on this front soon. What I can tell you is that we will do our best to compensate these users and make them feel as welcome as we can once their account actually exists and they can rejoin the community.
What you might not know is that because of this lost account issue, we have been unable to accept any new registrations since the downtime. If we were to accept new users, it would essentially overwrite the accounts that went missing. Once we get everything smoothed over, I am going to need your help in welcoming a huge wave of brand new players to our humble floating world!
As you might have suspected, things on the day-to-day and event fronts have been at a standstill because a lot hinges on these missing accounts, and we don't want to start running a bunch of events or adding content to the site while 1) there's a good number of people who would miss out through no fault of their own and 2) Yasu's energies need to be focused on repair. I mention this because I know the Valentine's event has been on everyone's mind this month, so I wanted to let you know that the current plan is to hold off on things for a little longer, but hopefully get the love fest going before the end of February. Once we get things going, they'll really be going. XD
We are going to kick off /one/ thing in a few moments, so stay tuned!

Transaction Script (pt2)

We have executed the last part of the transactions script. Remember, you can view these transactions here.
The last part handled:
- bank withdrawals and deposits (so if you deposit your earned BP, you should have that back)
- breeding predict kickbacks
- missing SP
If the amount you have now seems like in excess to you, there's really not much we can do about that at this point. You may want to consider not buying breeding items with "excess" money, though, just for economy safety. Items like custom items, pets, HA items, and so forth cause no economy damage though.

Rejection reasons and custom link
New Feature
After spending about thirty minutes trying to figure out which one of my customs got rejected, I thought it'd be pertinent to have the pet that got rejected's image linked to the custom rejection message. So now you can know exactly which pet you need to get checked!
Also, admins can now tell you why your pet was rejected in the rejection message - white background, pixels, too high edits, etc. No more guessing ;)

Lairs and Shops re-enabled

FYI:
- Lairs and Shops have been re-enabled. Yay!
- We're working on restoring the lair groups that you had formed, since I for one know it'd be horrible to have to resort all your pets D:
- We do know now that the crash took out a couple of (seemingly random?) pets with it, and have them safe in another backup, and are working to restore them.
- The issue with games not resetting should be fixed now.
- We are still working to refund the kickbacks that submitting predicts gave out through the missing data time. Bank CDs should be handled now. For those of you who transferred Orbs to GP during the Jan 14 - Feb 4 period, you'll have to re-establish contact to get your GP reinstated. Also, remember, if you had staff GP sent to you ("You have received X GP from the Aywas Staff!") you have to contact a staff member to get that back too.
- Missing SP is being worked through, as well as we are piecing together any accounts lost due to the crash.
A lot is being worked on but we're making progress through it!
PS:
A Book of Completion is sitting in the advent calendar. I think this wide release will drive down the price of it, so anyone who lost adventure levels can buy it really cheap and restore what they originally had, and someone else can make a little money! Hopefully that helps...
PPS:
Until Feb 18, using the book will not ban you from adventure. Feel free to use them to your heart's content until then without penalty.

Transactions Script

The transactions script has now run, updating your accounts to where they should be based on your purchases, your sales, the money you sent to other users, and the money they sent to you. Click here to view your transaction log.
For those of you who received official payments from staff, those were not refunded by the script. Contact the staff member who organized your payment to have it reimbursed.
Next we are going to be focusing on trying to piece together the missing accounts for newer users who registered after the rollback date. More information will be forthcoming when we have more of an idea of how to do this.
Missing Accounts
Anyone with a missing account should send an email to [email protected] with as much information as you can: the account ID, the pets you have (or names given to them), conversations you may have, recent store or GP purchases, etc.
Excess GP
If you have excess GP or BP, this is because we didn't remove amounts from purchases you made to official shops. You can safely spend it - consider it as a gift for the server practically exploding!
BP Event
It's not really an event, just that we're going to be doubling the output of BP the site gives out for a week to cover lost BP. For example, when this is confirmed and released, you'll earn twice as much adventuring. Hopefully that'll even things out.
