The Lovegram Box has been activated!
Opening the box will reveal four items:
The Broken Heart Dagger is a weapon with a 10% bonus in toughness, power, and speed, to keep you protected through all of love's ups and downs.
When you can use a good cuddle, the Heart Pillow fauna is always nearby!
And when you want to wear your heart on your sleeve, activate the Declaration of Love.
This will unlock an achievement/forum title that says I love you. <3 in red!
Finally, the Heart Glowstick will turn your active pet into a Cordial Finn:

Lovely Seasonal Shop!
Site Update
The Seasonal Shop is now officially open!
Shop to your heart's content until March 16, 2013 at 11:59 p.m.! Love Letters will remain findable and sendable through this time as well, so make sure you're giving the Mailman Melo a workout!
Now that we've got the mood music set and the lights dim, lets go on a little stroll through the love-themed wares! Don't mind the petals strewn about on the ground (Dew thought he was being cute, but if someone slips he's in big trouble).
Let's start off with a smorgasbord of new edible items!
I am pleased to announce that this spread of culinary creations is not limited, as all five items above are permanent additions to the Aywas pantry. You'll find them stocking in shops around Ay and popping up in cooking like normal. (How precious are those two peas in a pod?!)
If you have a taste for rarer delicacies, you might be interested in the exclusive holiday foods we've cooked up for you this year!
These should quench your thirst for love-soaked foods!
If not, we have something a little different that might wet your whistle.
The Dessert Wardrobe contains 10 food-themed wearable clothing items for your HA!
Inspired by Strawberry and Chocolate parfaits, here's a preview of the sets included:
However, if you're not taken with edible clothes and aren't big on frilly romance, you might want to move our Gloomy Heart Wardrobe into your account instead.
This wardrobe contains a whopping 15 items from clothing to eyes, hair, and holdables.

With our tummies full and HAs decked out, lets move onto the pets!
We all know that love is a battle field, so don't send your pet out into the wilderness without the proper equipment.
All dashing heroes need fancy weaponry! The above items offer bonuses in power, toughness, and speed, respectively.
If your valiant Fido is in need of a makeover, consider one of our new transforming potions!
In this lineup we have the Two Cherries Elixir (containing 5 uncommon pets), a bright red True Love Potion (containing 3 hybrids), and a classic Love Brew (containing 5 exclusive pets).
Using any of these potions on your active pet will turn it into a random coloration from the pool inside. As a teaser, here's one pet from each potion:

The new Puppy Love fauna is a great gift for pets and friends alike!
We are offering two other collectables to put on your lair shelf (since you'll probably end up with quite the mess on your hands if you leave them within reach of your Melos or Lepus).
The Love Liger Vion Plush and Crazy in Love Candles do not have a function beyond existing for your enjoyment and collections. :3
In honor of the love fest holiday, we are bringing back two very popular items that do have pretty cool uses, though!
The Love Story add-on has returned by pet demand! Apparently this is a beloved bedtime story.
As a refresher, this is a breeding add-on compatible with MBC, LBC, BC, and HBC breedings and tells your artist to cute-ify the offspring with Valentine's Day colors.
Love Potion #9 has returned once more with our favorite, old alt loves, but its formula has been spruced up to bring us two brand new alt line sets!

The Love Goodie Bag contains a Love Brew potion, a collectable Red Carnation, 1000 BP, and one of three random edible treats:
The Red Carnation as well as these three food items are exclusive to the bag, but you can purchase the Love Brew separately in the shop.

This box is filled with all 18 pets from the shop, so using it on your active pet will transform it into a random Seasonal Shop color!
On the last day of the Seasonal Shop, we will be having a finale with giveaways and 24-hour stock of a couple coveted items! (Hint: take a look at last year's event!) You've been warned, so plan your spending accordingly!

Seasonal Shop Warning

I'm scrambling around in a flurry of paper hearts and chocolate getting ready for the Seasonal Shop to open its doors!
Please remember that we do not advise making any purchases from the shop until it is formally announced as being open. If you jump the gun, we will NOT reimburse you for price changes, item functionality, etc.
I will be staying up rather late tonight to open the shop, so that's your cue that it'll be a few hours before everything is finalized. :3
Love Letters will still be findable/sendable through the week that the shop is open, so get to lickin' those envelopes if you've been slacking!

Adventure Pets & Pet Shop of Horrors Update

It's been a while but do not fear, Adventure pets still want to come out and play! Since we've resolved (most of) the account issues from downtime, Adventure pets will start appearing on a biweekly basis again!
If you want to design some Adventure pets, go and post them in their respective threads here! Remember, you can earn SP!
And an important alert! If you remember, there was a news post before Downtime that mentioned the pets in the Little Pet Shop of Horrors would be leaving come February.
Well that obviously did not happen. Besides dealing with everything else after Downtime we didn't feel it was fair to remove the pets when some people couldn't access the site. Since some users still cannot access the site, I won't be removing the pets from the pet shop this time. The current batch will stay in the shop even when the next batch is uploaded (in the next few days). Both batches will permanently retire, however, in about 2 months. I don't want to mess with the pet shop cycle so we won't be giving the normal 3 months for this new upcoming batch. To compensate for this, the new batch's prices will be cut by about 1/3rd. I hope this sounds fair to everyone and expect to see some new pretty pet shop pets soon!

Welcome to a bright, fresh new month here on Aywas! We're taking a break from drinking to spring to bring you a slew of new goodies!
Kicking off March is a parade of lush GP Shop pets!
And our new BP Shop pets are excitedly standing just inside the shop doors waiting for you to bring them home!

Coding Corner
Yasu has been working on overdrive for the last month to simultaneously repair downtime-related issues and tackle normal problems (such as the crons). We're working through issues one at a time as quickly as we can and are hoping to have Aywas back in tip-top shape as soon as the fates allow!
Restored and new accounts are two of our biggest ongoing hurdles. We'll have more updates tailored specifically to users in these two groups, and I really appreciate your patience during this awkward transitional time. We are putting together a "care package" of compensation for those who needed an account reactivation, so look forward to an update about that!
I also wanted to let everyone know that we will be resuming accepting new member applications again relatively soon. What does this mean for you? This means that there is going to be a HUGE wave of new players joining our community all at once. We have 800+ pending applications that I will be going through this week and I would very much appreciate it if you could take a moment to welcome these people to our community when they arrive. :3

We are going to try and squeeze every last drop of goodness out of March to make the most of this fun, fresh month! Here's a sneak peek at some of our goals and some dates to be mindful of!
Love Fest Seasonal Shop is targeted to open this Saturday, March 9th, and will be open for a week. Love Letters will be findable through March 16th.
* User Slashbot event(s). These got rattled around due to the downtime, so I will be reaching out to those of you who had things planned for February/March to get them goin'!
* New Adventure location will be finally released this month!
- March 8th: Updated deadline for Moderator Applications.
- March 15th: New Raw pet is introduced, but the Tordoka remains until the 31st.
- March 17th: St. Patrick's Day! Small-scale St. Patrick's Day event.
- March 29, 30, 31: Artist Event.
- March 31st: Tordoka leaves Raw Crystals.
We have a couple other exciting things scheduled to happen, but I think that gives you a good teaser!

Remember, when taking a photograph, be sure to have a piece of paper with your ID/name on it visible.
Bonus points if you can provide a tutorial on how to do your craft, but not necessary. :3
Don't forget there's only a few hours left to grab your Breeding Coins from the GP Shop!
