-----------------
Hello again, Aywas!

magic_breedingpendant.png

After leaving the poll up for the full weekend, waiting until votes slowed and we felt we had gotten as many votes as we could, it's been decided that all Breeding Pendants will become predict-only. We will be giving a grace period of until 12:00 am, August 1st for users to submit any last breedings with the pendants before we turn them over to predicts. If you have a current Pendant breeding in queue, it will not be affected by this change; this decision is only for Pendant breedings going forward starting August 1st.

With this change, however, we wanted to make predictions a little more enticing for our users, so we're announcing updated and new kickbacks!

Some have been updated, such as Breeding Coins going from 10 GP to 25 GP. Some have been added, including Sketch and Scribble which give 7 and 12 GP respectively! None have been lowered, though some remain the same.

We'll be working on including these in the Knowledge Base, so be on the lookout for that! Until then, however, here's the full list of Breeding kickbacks;

• Platinum Breeding Coin/Pendant - 30 GP + Grazelle Sapling

• Alidae Egg, Blind Date, Breeding Coin/Pendant, Eggnog, Dragon Lotus, Evil Breeding Coin/Pendant, Holiday Breeding Coin/Pendant, Neura Embryo, Transitional Fossil Egg - 25 GP

• Scribble Breeding Coin, Smudged Scribble Breeding Coin - 12 GP

• Sketch Breeding Coin - 7 GP

• Metal Breeding Coin/Pendant - 500,000 BP + 5 GP

• Holiday Mistletoe, Lesser Breeding Coin/Pendant, Mininogg, Painted Lesser Breeding Coin, Painted Metal Breeding Coin, Speed Dating Slip - 5 GP

• Rusted Breeding Coin - 3 GP

• Half Lesser Breeding Coin - 2 GP

• Radioactive Breeding Coin/Pendant - 150,000 BP

• Derp Breeding Coin - 60,000 BP

These new kickbacks will take effect immediately!

There will be more announcements forthcoming, but we still need a little bit of time to work them out so that it's fair and benefits everyone, so stay tuned over the next couple of months!

Looking at the Grazelle Sapling, where is the PSD for this species?

Search for "Grazelle" in the Knowledge base and there should be an article!

I know that the above said more pay for site artists, but is there any talk / discussion about upping predict caps for when PPP is over? That seems to be a big obstacle to getting predicts made otherwise as the fee is too low for commissions out side of the event.

Tae (#66637) That's one of the points being discussed among staff :]

So, if I used say...10 GP to commission a person to do predicts but then I'm the one that submits them, then I'd gey the 500k BP + the 5 GP?

Shizuku (#27621)
Where does it say you have to pay 10 GP for a RBP predict in the newspost? Plus, mutants aren't really something I thought people would pay for predict wise.

Yes, you'd get the 500k BP+5 GP

A little bit of a bummer because I'm not at all art inclined myself, but I fully understand why this had to be done.
The queue has gotten insane and pendants were certinally making that problem worse.
I honestly torn if I should sell mine or hold on to them for when I fee inclined to purchase predicts, but I agree with what others are saying. A option to trade them in for something else (not breeding items, but some sort of custom maker or something else?) seems like a good compromise.

As someone who doesn't own a breeding pendant, I had no dog in this fight and can't really complain about the decision. However, I'm glad I don't own a breeding pendant because the added burden of commissioning predict art would have prevented me from using one. Obtaining a breeding pendant was one of those goals I had back when I played more actively on site, and this change absolutely cheapens their worth. Other people have already pointed out that most of the votes were split between options that would have lengthened the cooldown time without requiring predicts. I find it difficult to understand why that wasn't taken into account. A secondary poll between the two most popular options may have been wise, as that would have better reflected how the player base felt.

Still, what's done is done and I suppose there's no point in grumbling about it. Hopefully this helps with the breeding queues, since there are people who have literally been waiting on breedings for years.
