Hello again, Aywas!
After leaving the poll up for the full weekend, waiting until votes slowed and we felt we had gotten as many votes as we could, it's been decided that all Breeding Pendants will become predict-only. We will be giving a grace period of until 12:00 am, August 1st for users to submit any last breedings with the pendants before we turn them over to predicts. If you have a current Pendant breeding in queue, it will not be affected by this change; this decision is only for Pendant breedings going forward starting August 1st.
With this change, however, we wanted to make predictions a little more enticing for our users, so we're announcing updated and new kickbacks!
Some have been updated, such as Breeding Coins going from 10 GP to 25 GP. Some have been added, including Sketch and Scribble which give 7 and 12 GP respectively! None have been lowered, though some remain the same.
We'll be working on including these in the Knowledge Base, so be on the lookout for that! Until then, however, here's the full list of Breeding kickbacks;
• Platinum Breeding Coin/Pendant - 30 GP + Grazelle Sapling
• Alidae Egg, Blind Date, Breeding Coin/Pendant, Eggnog, Dragon Lotus, Evil Breeding Coin/Pendant, Holiday Breeding Coin/Pendant, Neura Embryo, Transitional Fossil Egg - 25 GP
• Scribble Breeding Coin, Smudged Scribble Breeding Coin - 12 GP
• Sketch Breeding Coin - 7 GP
• Metal Breeding Coin/Pendant - 500,000 BP + 5 GP
• Holiday Mistletoe, Lesser Breeding Coin/Pendant, Mininogg, Painted Lesser Breeding Coin, Painted Metal Breeding Coin, Speed Dating Slip - 5 GP
• Rusted Breeding Coin - 3 GP
• Half Lesser Breeding Coin - 2 GP
• Radioactive Breeding Coin/Pendant - 150,000 BP
• Derp Breeding Coin - 60,000 BP
These new kickbacks will take effect immediately!
There will be more announcements forthcoming, but we still need a little bit of time to work them out so that it's fair and benefits everyone, so stay tuned over the next couple of months!

Okay, so since pendants are predict only now, would it be possible to make it so they can actually give an item when regenerated instead of being used in breeding? Like you would go through the inventory screen to "use" a Holiday Breeding Pendant to receive a Half Holiday Breeding Coin package (or whatever the predict only coin equivalent is).

Oof. As if the site wasn't already becoming pay to play, this really adds to that feeling... IMO there should be an option to trade the pendant for something worthwhile. Let's be honest, people are mostly looking for USD for their art and not all of us want to pay real money for pixels.
I dunno...I knew Aywas was going this way but it still sucks lol

No, you won't be able to take someone else to work or pet and use it for your own. What your explaining would be against the TOS, because when Joe gets a baby made, they retain rights on-site to color, distribute, or sell uses.
If you allowed someone else to use that PSD Joe loses out on their rights to that species.
Also since all art, you submit needs to be your own work or work you commissioned, or have been given access to, you should not be uploading things even from the edit repo for babies unless they both reflect the parents, and you have permission to do so. Not all edit Repo pets or edits come with free-use on site. It's always best to check the rules in the comments that users may have set, or message the artist direct to make sure they're okay with it.

Are people still allowed to charge USD for predicts?
If not, can we keep that? Because no one wants to do HBC predicts for GP, and a rare handful would do it for USD at least.

Leno♥Cynder (#12953) Yes, people can still charge USD for predicts! There are certain rules surrounding it of course (I can go looking for the KB article if you like), and certain coins have a cap of how much money you can charge. However, that cap is waived if you’re on a breeding team. - TJ

This should have been done a long time ago, to be honest. Pendents have been a drain on the site for far too long. I have breedings that have been in the queue for three years and still haven't been done. Maybe I'll actually come back and play the site for real now.

Kita🦊 (#3988) you can only commission artists if you're willing to spend usd or a lot of GP, especially if you want good quality for the expensive breeding. It seems more and more work is put on the users (and their wallet), no wonder people are leaving and hardly active anymore

I don't know if my post will see the light of day being there are so many. Barely managed to read through them all myself, but... Is it possible that we could get more "How To" videos where you could watch someone making them as I have absolutely NO idea how to make a mutant or change the line art even. The page that was listed for how mutants are made does not show you how to alter a psd. I almost think that a program could be made to spit out mutants.
The depository is a great place to pick up an altered psd for other breedings but mutants require you to be using two "specific" pets and that isn't something somebody else would just have tossed out there to use.
Now that being addressed, still have another really important question... Will we be allowed to use other artist psds? Example: If Joe has a platinum breeding coin and an artist makes Joe an awesome edited pet and includes the psd, can Jill use that psd to design her Platinum breeding pendant predict maybe changing the coloring but using that psd base?
