Snapdragon Ceremony: Challenge 3 Begins

Events

The scents of the freshly made and delivered food hung in the air. The sound of ice being slightly crunched as champagne bottles were sat upon them could be heard. Rowan had her eyes closed and listened to the sounds and enjoyed the smells of delicious food. Her stomach growled in agreement.

Apparently loud enough for Minerva to even hear, as the normally broody gardener couldn't help but give a small, but fleeting, chuckle. She looked at the venue with some satisfaction, though it still felt...off. She looked at some of the balloons that had been collected earlier in setting up the venue. "Of course, it's missing some decorations." She mused softly.

Rowan immediately snapped from her midday daydreaming to look at Minerva, and follow her gaze. While yes, they had balloons, it certainly wasn't enough. Not for the Snapdragon Ceremony!

"We could definitely add some magical enhancements, and we'll need music!" Rowan added. She could already picture some floating candles and beautiful curtains to accent the place.

"There's also a nice assortment of foliage and herbs this time of year, brought in from all over." Minerva nodded sagely, thinking of things she'd like to see.

"Well, then we better get more snapdragons! Those decorations won't buy themselves!" Rowan chirped. Minerva wondered just how they hadn't picked Ay clean of snapdragons yet.

Once again, the challenges for this event will require you to collect different colors of Snapdragon. They will be available in pink, orange, green, blue, white, yellow, red, and purple. Your team leader, Rowan or Minerva, will tell you which color you will need to turn in. Be sure to work together and try to overcome the opposing team!

The ladies would like to emphasize working together - they have noticed some people have been taking naps instead of helping! If you have not participated since the beginning of the event and still do not participate by the end of this challenge, you will be removed from your team with no opportunity to rejoin. This is to ensure that it remains fair to all active participants.

You will have until 6:30 PM AST on April 16th to accumulate points for your team for this challenge.

jesus christ, this site is obsessed with clicks. 73222456 clicks for 4 snapdragons. Noticed the same with battling (click click click click click click click click click click click click click click click , okay, next move, and then click click click click click click click click click click click click click click click click.), and same with running through the holiday forest for icicles, pets, or love letters. wtf my wrist.

I just realised I've always gotten on too late for the first colour! I thought orange came first but it seems it's actually pink, lol. On a side note, frustrating that I've never been able to get the first colour before it changes.

Just rereading this post, so Minerva's team is at a disadvantage until next round?

Same here Oak. I swear this site has given me carpal tunnel. xD I really wish some more of these events could steer away from all this clicking, I'd love to participate more but after just an hour or two of clicking my hands and wrists are dead for the rest of the day.

I feel bad for those who have limited mobility and would like to take part but never can since most, if not all, of the events on here are powered by clicks in one way or another.

Unfortunately due to the nature of the internet almost any event concept will contain a large amount of point-and-click, as that's generally how interaction with websites works - and if not with a mouse then with buttons, which is just as restrictive/repetitive. We did code this event to be as light-weight and easy to take part in as possible, but sadly we underestimated how many users would join the event but not contribute to the score.

I know I haven't been much help, but I have been trying. I am still working and have less time until I thought I would have...I am sorry

I actually think being able to adventure with different buttons, like a keyboard, would be really nice. For me at least that's a nice way to switch up the clicking when I'm tired of that. I'm right-handed so I mostly use that hand, but when that one gets tired I will use my left hand but I have to stretch that over to my mouse and it's awkward doing that and using my left hand on a right hand geared mouse so that usually doesn't last for long.

Being able to use say the arrow keys to choose one of the buttons in adventure and then enter to accept that choice would be so nice. I could even switch from mouse to keyboard with my right hand when the mouse clicking starts bothering that hand, as a lot of the time it's just the holding the mouse position that starts bothering my hand, not so much the repetitive clicking.

I totally understand that probably being a bit of a pain to code in, I wouldn't say impossible but obviously I don't know how the site's code works. But that would just be something so nice to have and I'd love for it to be thought about. And I know that won't help too much with those that have limited mobility, I know that can be a hard thing to try to accommodate for and I'm not faulting anyone for that, I just mentioned it since it's always on my mind during these events.
