To turn on receiving Love Letters please follow this link!
That link is under the Community tab and can be access any time during the event to see your sent and received Love Letters, and your points!
To send a letter, go to your Inventory, find your stack of letters, and select "Use". If someone has accepting disabled they will not be able to receive your Love Letter - this will not use your item, so you will be able to send it to someone else.
You also will only be able to send Love Letters to people who have been online in the last 24 hours - a good tip is to check out the Letter Swap threads that people post in Aywas Talk to find people to swap with.

Bear Bear (#11703) I totally understand your view, but there are people who get quite annoyed because everybody was bombarding them with LLs (previous years) and since they didn't want to participate, they didn't necessarily know where/how to turn the dang things off. Plus, some were actually offended (I think, due to the concept of sending LOVE Letters to complete strangers). Anyhow, I think it probably works out best for everyone this way. :-/
Eve Eve ❤ LLs (#2775) And I think there was something else last year too - maybe it's the button people are referring to..but I remember, the first year I participated, I had to keep a separate list of who I've already sent too but last year, I definitely had no need for a list. Maybe, it's cause the Send LL Button disappears if you've already sent that person a LL? I think it was directly on the LL's Received list - that way, you knew if you had "returned" a letter or not.

i would also like to see the send letter button like previous years and for ToT. its nice to see a message about those that are disabled LLs and haven't been online today but its a pain in the backside when trying to send LLs from previous years lists. how else am i to send LLs without the button to tell me who i've sent them too? just tried sending out 10 LLs and only got 1 to go thru.

Bear (#11703) - I totally read your comment backwards XDD I think it's better to be opt-in because then if you're not someone who participates for any reason then you don't feel guilty that someone sent you a letter (because we all really do it under the assumption that we'll get one back XD). Unlike ToT where if someone knocks on your door and you don't answer, nothing bad is going to happen - with that I think we all assume a degree of ignored knocks because anyone can wander afk for any reason and miss the 10 minute slot ^^
