Hey guys, I just wanted to let you know real quick that we are going to be taking the site down for a few hours tonight (sometime after 1am) to finish up what we had started the other night. We ran into a bit of a hiccup, and didn't expect it to herniate the site as bad as it did, so now we're just doing a planned take down so don't be startled! It may be down for a few hours, if it is too long you can check our Tumblr or Facebook and we will try to keep it updated!
In lighter news, if you scroll all the way down to bottom you'll see Rudi with a delightful Make it Snow! button, if you click that you'll get a pleasant surprise, click it again to turn it off! <3

This is a really really minor thing, but can I ask why the snow moves at different speeds on different pages? I friggin love the slow snow, it's so calming and serene but the fast snow actually makes me anxious lmao

KiRAWRa (Kirara) (#11849) - It's due to how the CSS animation works. The animation loops every 20 seconds from top to bottom of the page. For longer pages, like the news index page, the height is much greater making the snow is sped up to complete it's 20 second cycle.
It is something I had considered changing, but I kind of like it. Reminds me of a snow storm. It may be changed later though to go a consistent speed on all pages.

I like the snow button, but I think it's too fast even on smaller pages. The faster animation on longer ones is distracting.
But it is really cute...

I'd have to sort of second Kirara about the fast snow. It makes me a little bit dizzy. Though it's not a big problem for me because I don't frequent pages that the snow is fast on, really the only time I see it is if I'm looking through the news. Regardless, I still really like the snow! It's very pretty. ^-^

The fast snow reminds me of a snowstorm! I like the snowing at every speed but I kind of understand how it might make people feel dizzy.
Honestly though the "make it snow" button was such a delightful surprise I am filled with joy.

Ahh I see that makes sense! Yeah definitely a minor complaint, but I'm sure I'm not the only one scrambling to navigate away from fast-snowing pages as fast as possible when I happen upon them, haha
