really ... how did that first one make it on here? That one doesn't even have any of the original shading on it? It has so much sparkle and glitter and crap on it it actually hurts to look at it ... but gratz to the rest of ya gettin on here :)

Kouga32 (#768) - I find your post to be incredibly rude and uncalled for. Everyone has different tastes, and while yours may run in a different direction that one or several of the entries chosen to be in the vote, that does not give you the right to insult and belittle any person on this website. I think you should apologise for your disgraceful remark and think twice about airing your opinions in a way meant to hurt people.

Kouga32 (#768) as an artist, if that would have been posted directed towards me it would have broken me. NEVER refer to someones style as adding "crap" to it. The original shading /is/ there, it just has extra highlights and glitter because that is what they were going for. I personally find that HA set beautiful, it provides a strange balance between shiny cliche pretties and the necromancer feel of the actual ha. There is a fine line between critiquing and criticizing, and you completely surpassed it.

I HATE THIS ROUND, there's too many amazing artists to choose just one. ;w; I'm so conflicted and in turmoil. DO I CHOOSE RAINBOW, OR PASTEL? ugh. Gonna have to think on it! Nice job to everyone this month! c: Really pleased with how everyone interpreted it!

Kouga32 (#768)
The rainbow one is actually my favourite(2nd favourite?) out of all of them, depending on which route I go. Pastel, or the first. I think the artist did an amazing job with the reshading and the minuet details!

Eveglori (#2775) - I didn't say the design was bad, said I didn't see how it made it as it doesn't seem to have the original shading the artist put on the psd when they submitted it which I thought was part of the task?

As for hurting to look at if that's what yer going for that isn't always meant to be an insult, for me that is just a personal thing as in it is bright and just hurts my eyes to look at for very long. I actually have a couple customs in my lair that hurt to look at cause they are bright or something and I've told friends the same thing about customs they have 'pretty but ouch hurts to look at' that is just the way my eyes are I keep my screen on my home and work computers both dimmer and try to limit the bright colours and whiteness as much as I can as it hurts my eyes after a short time looking at it.

Kouga32 (#768) - Comments like that without the added context can sound very much like insults. If you read back what you said it comes across as hostile and offensive, and I'm not the only one to have felt that way as you can see. You may not have directly stated you thought it was bad but using phrasing such as "really ... how did that first one make it on here?" indicates that was your intended meaning. Think very carefully about what it is you're trying to say and make sure that it is what you're communicating - because in this case your intent and your delivery far missed the mark.

I work on the MDT team and if someone said it to me, I'd probably quit the team entirely and go into a depression, honestly. Our work are our babies, and even if they don't turn out how people envision it, we put ourselves in it. I can take constructive criticism, and so can everyone else, but context is key. I'm not going to berate you, as I'm not a mod, but I think a little pause before commenting next time can go a long way! c: I hope this helps.
