Hybrid Redraws & other stuff

Pets

I am so excited to announce I'm finally done coloring the hybrid redraws. They took me like three weeks, lol! C: The previous hybrid drawings were done by a contracted artist, but we got them redrawn by our official pet artist! They look so much better now!

I love them all! If you don't see a difference, hit F5. C:

Due to the results of the previous poll (see one news post down), Kyres are going to officially be Soli x Oakl from all breedings submitted after this news post. Any Melo x Soli currently in the queue can become a kyre.

BJ and I discussed how we wanted to handle Oakl customs, now that Kyres come from Oakls. We decided to allow Oakl customs to come from Metal Custom Crystals. That means, if you want lineart edited Oakls, you have to get a Flame Custom Crystal. But if you want the pattern of a unique oakl, a Metal will do just fine. :)

Oh yeah, there's a "Password Recovery" link on the login page now, if you ever need it.

Hweee. I hart the paleo and gryphon (which I previously disliked) to death <3 Not so big on the kyre or quetzal, but I adored some of the other poses in that thread where they were previewed. Is the plan still to randomize which lineart will be used in breedings?

It's the far side horn on the paleo. It should be lower. The rest of the head is set at a horizontal angle, but putting the horn up that high makes it seem like the top of the head is tilted towards the camera, distorting the shape if it's head.

I like the new linearts in general, except for the head of the quetzal. The tiny little snout makes it seem so much less robust now. Maybe if you widened the mane at the top to lengthen his head a little.

It could just be the super-light lineart that's bothering me.

I second the previously asked question - will we be able to request the old lineart when breeding?

Quetzal :)
Paleo :(
Griffin :|
Kyre :)

To me, the Quetzal looks like a female version, more sleek and less fluffy.
The Paleo is like a fat baby dragon, rather than a sleek dangerous raptor dinosaur. Though I like the larger wings, I kinda miss the feather definition. Also feathers (rather than fur) on the tail, the larger claws, smaller horns, and sleeker build.
The griffin is meh, less slouchy but plainer, looks like a grown up version of the previous lineart.
The Kyre redraw is a pony-lizard, while the old was a horse-dragon, though overall it's a nice picture.

Seconding what everyone said about the Paleos and such.... also as a note, someone really should edit the Quetzal for this minor flaw: one whisker-thing is pure white and the other is actually partially blue. Check it.

At first I only really liked the new kyre, but the others have grown on me. Even the now noseless paleo's sort of cute in a weird way. XD

They look awesome! Well accept for the Kyre. I really love the original Kyre art. D=

Wow. . .WOW. The Quetzal is BEAUTIFUL! That eye is amazing, and that expression is lovely. However the whiskers are messed up.
The Paleo is really awkward and looks rather fail. I prefer the old one. :/
I used to HATE Griffins like you have no idea, but now I really want one.
The Kyre looks less way majestic, but is still rather pretty. I miss the old one though.

I love the new Quetzal and Griffin lines, not so much the Kyre lines. The Kyre lines are alright, the old lines were just much more appealing to me. Glad I managed to get two Kyre babies on the old lines. Not a fan of the new Paleo at all, while I was a fan of the old lines. Pretty sure I won't be doing any Paleo breedings in the future.

Were paleo's always furry? I thought they were just skin and feathers.....

Lets just say... Im glad I already have an old lineart kyre. I will not be breeding anymore with this new lineart. It's way less "majestic", and the head just looks squished. The proportions... are odd... The new quetzal and griffin are awesome. The paleo, I LOVE the pose but I agree that the forehead has a weird angle to it. Basically they're all nice except the kyre. X_x
