So, for a while I have been debating the hybrid breeding of Melo x Soli. Currently you have a 50/50 chance of getting either a Quetzel or a Kyre, but many people like one over the other and feel disappointed when they get the wrong hybrid pet.
I have long been considering switching the Kyre to being Oakl x Soli. That way, when you breed a melo x soli you will ALWAYS get a quetzal, and when you get oakl x soli you will ALWAYS get a kyre.
Voice your opinion.

I think it's good to have it so you know what you're getting. Oakls being a non-common species is a bit of a problem, but I'm gonna be pretty irritated if the BC I've gotten after all this saving and waiting turns out nothing but Kyres.
Considering that Breeding Coins are not only incredibly expensive but during frequent droughts when they are not available, nigh-impossible to find, having them STILL be a 50/50 crapshoot if you'll get what you want or not is really not very fair.

I'm all for it. I don't really think it's fair that Melo x Soli creates TWO desirable hybrids, when other breed combinations don't even get a hybrid. And heck, three out of the four current hybrids involve melos. Seems, I dunno. Melo-centric to me. Sure, they're the most popular breed, but still.
Woo for hybrids coming from OTHER breedings!

Oh damn, I think I might have voted for the wrong one lol. Aside from the confusion of the typo, the poll looks weird on my computer for some reason (looks like I am voting for "you know what you're getting").
But I think it's good to separate the two. I love Quetzals a lot, but am too chicken to hybrid my pets for the fear of getting... not a Quetzal; makes me not want to even try. The Oakl x Soli would also be a more accurate breeding, given the Kirrin's attributes and myth of origin. And hooray, I could take the plunge and breed for a Quetzal!

D: I like the Kyres over Quetzals! Oakl customs are not going to come easy, if at all! Like what Airr + Nini said. I think having a choice of which like what some people suggested would be better.

Many with oakles, like myself, are happy to allow you to breed with our pets for no fee at all so don't worry about a lack of oakles.
