Adoption Center
Pets
The adoption center has had its release fee temporarily reduced to 1 BP. I encourage you to put pets in there that you don't want so that new users can adopt them and give them love. Because that's all they want. They want some love.
I am not certain how long I want the release fee to be 1 BP, so take advantage of it to dump unwanted pets now. I might stabilize it around 50 BP later, but if you have a suggestion on what would be a good fee, let me know.

I sometimes want Commons and Uncommons, though. (Just look at my huge wanted list! Mostly Uncommons, last I checked. lol) With the adjusted catch rates, I've been catching a lot fewer pets, and I'm pretty sure newer players will have a similar issue. Basically, just because they are Common or Uncommon doesn't mean that people don't want them! As for clearing server space, I'm sure it'd be simple enough to purge the adoption center every so often. As it stands, the adoption center seems to clear out pretty quickly.

The point of abandoning pets is to clear server space. If the abandoning fee was higher then the pounding fee it would be to crowded.

Release fee should be more than abandonment fee.

The problem with having abandon priced lower than release is that people will start filling up Adopt with a bunch of commons no one really wants. I don't stick commons or even uncommons in Adopt, I just release them. I do put rares into Adopt sometimes.

Whatever the release fee is, it should be higher than the fee for the adoption center. That way it would encourage people to leave pets for newer players. ^_^ ~Darsh

I agree - leaving them for adoption should be cheaper than simply releasing them. If you were going to have the prices changed based upon rarity (as someone mentioned above), I'd make the rarer ones cheaper to leave for adoption, rather than the commons.

Maybe you could flip the prices? Like it costs 200 BP to release and 50 BP to abandon a pet at the adoption center. I think a flat fee of 50 BP is a great way to go. (:

Princess has the right idea, I think; higher price for commons, lower price for more rare pets... although I've been encountering and catching a lot more rares recently...
