@Argan. No, this means that you can upload a coloration and you don't need the actual item to make it - you just have to hope it goes through. You can try once an hour.

@Argan you can only send a metal to someone if you have the crystal/orb on you and then you upload it. You need no item for this. You can just upload it for free and hope it goes through.
