Lesser Breeding Pendant
You might have noticed that your silver paws amount now links to the SP Shop. By Friday it should be fully functional and all contests will be awarded with SP. To celebrate the coming of the SP Shop, I'm giving away an LBP. LBPs are re-usable LBCs that allow you to breed two pets of the same species every month.
To enter this contest, please post about two pets that are mated (either both yours, or one is yours and one is a friend's) and how they met!
This will end on Wednesday at midnight.

(cont) Until the day when one of them was adopted. I saw Fyre outside of the shelter, in one of her rare moments apart from her precious partner. Scooping her up, I adopted her with no thought that she might be leaving something behind. I believed I was rescuing her...but it was not so. When I took her home, gave her a place to stay, and named her, she went into a deep depression. She became lethargic, and refused to do anything but lay there, shaking with sadness and staring lonesomely out across the sky as she pined away.

(cont) I did not know what was wrong. I had other pets in my lair, of course, but she wasn't interested in a single one of them.
It was only by chance that her sorrow was relieved. The next day, I returned to the shelter, searching for another lonely soul, and I came across the little poison dart frog soli. She was cowering in the corner, away from all of the excited pets who scampered around my legs, begging to be taken home. Drawn to her, I knelt down and whispered a name to her -- Clash, for the fire/ice coloring of her beautiful skin.

(cont) She looked up at me with frightened eyes, and I gently scooped her up and took her home, her face tucked fearfully in the crook of my arm the entire way. I was afraid she might be too shy to introduce to any of my more rambunctious pets, so I delivered her instead to the heartbroken Fyre, who still had not moved from her resting place.

GrizzleGuard(#105747) Had been the guard at the Jeweled Treasure Cave since the lovely GoldFlame (#78373) and he had joined. He had met her while out on a lonely patrol in the desert. He had been drawn to her and her golden coat instantly. She had been hurt and he carried her to the cave. From that night no they had been inseparable and wanted to start a family.

Tawni the coatimundi (28155) and Sable the skunk (52484) (IDs sort of irrelevant for now, since they will both be customs eventually...) have been together in an on again, off again relationship for several years. They initially met at Wal-Mart, where Sable was the manager and Tawni was the newest trainee. They quickly had their eyes on each other from day 1--it was "true luv." Since they both worked the night shift together, they ended up having some... fun... in the backroom.

(continued) This went on for a few months before someone reported them to higher ups and they both got fired. This was around the same time as Tawni got evicted from his apartment, so he moved in with Sable. Then later Sable got evicted from her apartment, and together they rented a new apartment, and also bought an Xbox 360. Now their relationship is held together by romantic nights spent together teabagging people online in Halo and the fact that they're both total loser jerkasses who can't seem to get any other dates. xD

(continued) They're not exactly the fairy tale romance--more of a love-hate relationship. But the fact that they've been together for years, through slashed car tires, cheating, eviction, firing from numerous jobs, and more must mean *something,* right?

(cont) For her, hopelessness did not last. Not too great a spread of time later, a young Poison Dart Frog Soli was abandoned. The small creature, fearful and lost, hid in a corner of the shelter, too terrified by the ordeal of being dumped and unwanted to come out. Fyre took it upon herself to care for the young creature, and came to her side, taught her the ropes of shelter life, and became her fast friend….and more. Before long, they were inseparable. Hopelessness engulfed them no more.
