Hey, what's up?
I'm excited to announce that our original pet artist redrew our Vyne!! Now it matches the other pets ... wooooo! :)
Obviously, this is going to require some recolors. We have set up a thread where you can submit recolors of the vynes on the new lineart. If your recolor is high quality and accepted by BJ, you'll not only receive a copy of the vyne but 2 GP to go along with it.
Also, the vyne at the top is the Gold Tipped Lotus Vyne. Ten of these will be released on the site - post your favorite thing about the new vyne to try for one of these Gold Tipped Lotuses!

I like the way the gold coming in between the purples and soft blue as it is not easy to blend those 2 tones!

What I love about the new vyne - it's expression and eyes X_X So shiny...its like, 'Hey, I am innocent'...but then you look at the grin...that evil grin X_X

I really adore the new vynes for a couple reasons. One, it's so -smug-, I adore the whole attitude it has. 'Damn it I'm good looking and I KNOW it.' The 'mane' is much better looking, and far better defined as just hair then a whole back mane like a horse! (I hope you understand that) The tail is amazing, like seriously? It looks FAR more natural compared to a tail with a leave shoved on it. (no offense to the original artist!!! :( ) The flowers are actually seen as FLOWERS! rather then 'recolored grapes' as my boyfriend so elegantly put it when he saw the old one! The long spiked ears look really cool and flowie which matches the tail and leaves in my opinion. and don't get me started on the shading, really? Freaking EPIC! Now that my short three sentences turned into THIS I'mma shut up now....

The new vyne does look like the other pets, but also stands out as its own creature. Being based on plant life and flowers and such, the new vyne really connects on the botanist level. ;D Great redraw, and the colors of this one are absolutely stunning.

Awesome new redraw!
I love the look in its eye. It's got something on its mind, but that seems to be unclear. Sinister? Possibly. Evil? Try Again. The colors as well blend exquisitely! I can't seem to find better words to describe it! Very Nice ;)

Oh my god I ADORE the new vyne!! SO MUCH. And this one is absolutely gorgeous, oh I need one ;~; I loooove the eyes, and the liitttllee bits of blue...argh it would be so fantastic for the character I used for my purple lotus nibble on digis that I've been planning to remake here xD
...asdjklf and the flowerbutt, oh I love it!

This is going to be a weird comment, but...I think the thing I like most is how "balanced" it is. It's not busy. It puts weight on its legs. Its body conforms to the basics of art: action lines, shapes. The shading makes me drool a little in real life, too. :|a

Oh wow, Ill admit I was worried at first but this is really an amazing redraw! I love the coy expression, and how now things seemed to have a flow to them. Like before the pose was a bit static but now the leaves and antennae have a definite movement to them. Much more lively I think, it has a personality now that really shines through.
In short, they really are awesome. :3

Okay I have to admit the new vyne is hot. I actually want them now, when before the vynes were last on my list. I agree with Kristina it looks like a little plant sprite now. XD
