The Seasonal Shop is open, and will be open until 2/22/2011.
2/22/20...that's kinda freaky, isn't it?
There's a nice collection of cool stuff in there that will hopefully apply to all player types. If you don't see something you like, I don't know what to do with you. xD
Breeding items, custom items, site pet items, HA items, regenerating foods... what more could you want?

I don't think our Love Letters have been activated yet, so you won't get to see the awesome Valentine's pets and HA items until that's done. However, I do have a challenge for you.
Love Potion #9
This strange love potion will allow you to create one of the special Valentine's alt lineart pets with up to 50% edits... awesome!
This is the alternate lineart item that'll be available for a week after the Seasonal Shop opens. Here are the alternate linearts, the melo and the oske, that you can get with it:

Recall that alternate lineart pets can only be LBC bred to pets of their same lineart, and BC bred. They cannot be LBC bred to pets of the same genus but different lineart.
Here's your challenge: come onto Aywas at 6:00 PM on 2/14/2011. If there are 600 or more people online, everyone who is online will get a Love Potion #9 (not to mention, we'd have a new online users record).
Are you down for it?

I made an Aywas Facebook page!
Click the above to go to it (yes, it did kind of kill the quality of that image...)
There are two super cool things going on at that page so far. First, it links to the Official Aywas Group, which is holding a contest - win an alternate hybrid custom by "Liking" the Aywas page by 2/19.
Second, I uploaded spoilers for the Arctic region onto the Aywas page...if you're curious, go check it out... ;)
There's a Facebook feed on the front page of Aywas now so you can check out whatever's new just by landing there. We'll try to hold Facebook contests often, depending on how many people find it worthwhile.
If Facebook isn't your thing, no worries! We're just branching out into new territory. :)

Custom Clothes + Item Royalties

First, I bring you a couple of different new custom clothing items, all stocking in the Custom Clothing Shop:
Second, I'm going to experiment with user royalties. What's a royalty? That means the user who designed the item gets a share of every sale made from an official Aywas shop. Every two weeks or so, I'll find a human avatar set that catches my eye and put it up in the cash shop for two weeks. The designer of that item gets some GP for every item of theirs that gets bought. After the two weeks are up, the items will be retired from official shops.
Yay, experimentation! I am a rock.
Nepherim (#9318) is our guinea pig (thanks, Neph!). She made these cyborg wings for you, in all different colors. They are stocking in the Cash Shop for 3 GP each.
By popular demand, a Mecha Wing Wardrobe was added containing all eight items for 20 GP.
Remember, they leave the shop in two weeks (Feb 25)!
It should be an interesting experiment :)

Good evening gentlefolk! I thought you might like to know that I am in the process of handing out artist pay for accepted designs in the Pet Colouration Submissions forum. It has been brought to my attention that the "Reason" section of the notification is a little temperamental and may, in fact, not be giving you any reason at all! Alas, I am unable to plague you with my British spellings.
Rest assured that if you have recently received GP from the Aywas Staff, it is yours to keep.

You can see the newest newbies by going to the Welcome Back page. Drop them a message, or post on their profiles to help introduce them to the site and make friends.
Don't forget that the weekly User Spotlight goes out to kind, helpful people, and helping out newbies is a great way to make yourself visible and find new friends (among other things!).
